JOB TITLE
Customer Directed Suppliers Specialist
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage customer-directed suppliers across multiple commodities, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and purchasing strategies.
- Coordinate supplier pricing, raw material indexation (e.g., copper, silver), and material balancing activities while ensuring accurate cost recovery in line with customer agreements.
- Review, maintain, and monitor OEM contractual conditions, including pricing structures, escalation mechanisms, capacity commitments, and program lifecycle requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to support cost calculations, customer balancing, budgeting, and financial reconciliation activities.
- Analyze supplier quotations, negotiate commercial conditions where applicable, and support sourcing decisions to optimize cost, quality, and supply continuity.
- Maintain purchasing, pricing, and cost-related master data in SAP and ensure consistency between purchasing records, supplier invoices, and customer agreements.
- Manage Teamcenter workflows related to supplier pricing, material cost changes, and engineering updates while ensuring compliance with internal approval processes.
- Investigate and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, payment disputes, and indexation differences in cooperation with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Support sourcing, cost optimization, and VAVE initiatives by identifying alternative suppliers, evaluating commercial opportunities, and contributing to BOM cost improvement activities.
- Prepare purchasing reports, maintain accurate documentation, and support internal and external audits with complete and traceable purchasing records.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance, Engineering, or related field
· 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, cost management, or supply chain roles in an industrial or automotive environment
· Understanding of: Raw-material indexation (copper, silver), Invoice validation and cost reconciliation, OEM contractual frameworks
· ERP experience (e.g. SAP or comparable purchasing systems) for pricing, purchasing, and invoice support.
· Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability and ability to work with structured cost files
· Strong communication skills to resolve issues with internal teams and external suppliers
· Basic understanding of BOM cost structures and cost model inputs.
· Structured, accurate, and detail-oriented working style
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in automotive industry or manufacturing environment.
· Experience supporting data analysis and mantaining digitala archives.
· Knowledge of cost models, sourcing documentation, and BOM tracking.
· Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
· English language skills for international supplier and internal communication.
