SENIOR SUPPLY PLANNER
The Senior Supply Planner is responsible for developing and executing short and long-term supply plans to meet customer demand. The Senior Supply Planner will be a key member of the team, working closely with other departments to ensure that customer orders are met in a timely and efficient manner. This position reports directly to the Supply Planning Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain supply plans to ensure product availability while optimizing inventory levels and operational efficiency.
- Analyze demand forecasts, inventory positions, production capacity, and supplier constraints to create balanced supply plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Procurement, Logistics, Customer Service, and Sales, to align supply plans with business objectives.
- Monitor inventory performance and implement actions to minimize shortages, excess stock, and obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate production schedules and material availability to support customer requirements and business priorities.
- Identify supply chain risks and proactively develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Track and report key supply planning KPIs, including inventory turns, service levels, forecast accuracy, and supply adherence.
- Lead or support the Sales & Operations Planning process by providing supply planning insights and recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, systems, and supply chain performance.
- Ensure data accuracy and planning systems to support effective decision making.
- Mentor junior planners and provide guidance on planning best practices when required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain planning, or a related function.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Results-oriented with a proactive approach to achieving objectives.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a comparable logistics or supply planning role within a global automotive manufacturing environment.
- Fluent in English (minimum B2 level), with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of supply chain planning, inventory management, and production planning processes is an advantage.
