Technical Project Lead (m/w/d)

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY 

Lead Engineering activities for specific customers

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represent Gentherm engineering in front of the customer
• Lead the Engineering project team from acquisition phase to SOP+90
• Provide technical guidance to team members to ensure development processes meet OEM and Gentherm requirements and expectations
• Overall technical responsibility for mechatronic products and systems developed by the team
• Support the project team in the acquisition and quotation phase and represent the engineering on-site at the customer's facility
• Responsibility for checking the technical content of quotation packages and ensuring correct Bill of Materials (BOM) for parts costing
• Responsibility for review and verification of specifications (customer, legislative & internal) and ensuring through e.g. appropriate responses and functional specifications
• Responsibility for feasibility and risk assessments in case of critical requirements or patent situations
• Support Purchasing and Sales in defining estimated prices for material and development costs
• Direct technical contact for customers and suppliers for critical issues
• Ensure proper execution of component and system validations (DV& PV) in the required quality
• Support and responsibly manage cross-departmental investigations and problem solving
• Support projects in critical phases, with experience and expertise, and be responsible for technical communication and lead escalation meetings with the customer and suppliers
• Responsibility for reviewing and approving seat prototypes and presentation documents
• Responsibility for Execution of LessonsLearned and documentation
• Ensure the continuous improvement of existing product design and internal processes to increase customer satisfaction (CI and VAVE initiatives)
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• University Degree/College Diploma in Engineering
• 5 years’ experience in an automotive engineering environment or similar technical environment
