SENIOR IT ARCHITECT, SAP
IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY
Join our dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the future of our supply chain and manufacturing operations! In this role, you'll support both logistics departments and the shop floor in designing and developing efficient, forward-thinking business processes within SCM and production. Your core responsibilities will include the implementation, integration, and continuous optimization of system processes. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure operational excellence. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be part of a global team working across regions and time zones.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visualize available standard functionalities of SAP MM, WM, PP, SD
- Work directly with business partners to gather requirements for enhancements and deliver solutions to business issues in the overall logistic area
- Responsible for designing, configuring, documenting, delivering, supporting, and testing SAP logistics solutions (i.e. materials management, production planning, warehouse management, production and sales and distribution) to meet business requirements
- Design functional specifications and work with developers to oversee the timely completion and efficiency of development objects, conduct unit, and integration testing and maintain documentation
- Collaborate with representatives of other IT/functional areas to ensure end to end process integration and consistency
- Identify opportunities to standardize processes and system configuration enterprise wide and ensure compliance across all implementation to these standards
- Ensure business application systems are developed in a way that complies with established standards, methodologies and best practices.
- Advise management of the project status and problems, or potential problems, on a regular basis
- Assist in designing the logistic roadmap including migration to SAP S4/HANA
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor in Information Systems
- 3 years of experience in at least two areas of SAP MM/WM/PP/SD customization and consulting with logistics business partners
- Strong communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least one additional language (German or Spanish for US; English for CN)
- ABAP development skills; not only debugging, but at least 2 years development
- Develop BADIs, user exits, enhancements in a global system
- Experience with S4 / HANA
- Strong ERP process knowledge
- EDI knowledge ANSI X.12, EDIFACT, ODETTE, VDA
