Senior Financial Planning Analyst
The Senior FP&A Analyst is responsible for providing strategic analytical support and serving as a trusted business partner by independently leading complex analyses, identifying trends and opportunities, and delivering actionable insights that influence business decisions. This role demonstrates ownership of key business processes, performance metrics, and complex cross-functional analyses, leveraging advanced analytical expertise to identify insights, solve business challenges, and support operational and strategic decision-making.
The Senior FP&A Analyst works with a high degree of autonomy, effectively managing multiple priorities while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to develop data-driven solutions, improve processes, and support organizational objectives. In addition to leading high-impact projects from concept through implementation, this role proactively identifies opportunities for continuous improvement, enhances reporting and analytical capabilities, and communicates findings and recommendations to leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Success in this role requires strong business acumen, the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity, and the capacity to influence outcomes through expertise, collaboration, and sound analytical judgment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Engineering, IT, and cross-functional teams providing strategic financial guidance to ensure accurate reporting, cost center alignment, disciplined spend management, and informed business decision-making.
- Lead comprehensive financial analysis by evaluating actual results against budgets and rolling forecasts, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and delivering actionable recommendations to support strategic and operational objectives.
- Own the development and delivery of monthly financial reporting packages, including executive-ready dashboards, key performance metrics, and in-depth variance analysis across OPEX and CAPEX, while proactively monitoring financial performance and partnering with business leaders to achieve expense management goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting, and analytics through automation, standardization, and the development of advanced Excel and Power BI solutions that improve efficiency and decision support.
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for Engineering and IT, partnering with cost center owners and leadership to develop accurate financial plans that align with business priorities, strategic initiatives, and organizational objectives.
- Develop and deliver executive-level financial analyses and presentations that translate complex financial data into meaningful business insights, influencing leadership discussions, supporting strategic planning, and enabling informed decision-making.
- Ad hoc / special projects as assigned to support FP&A team

Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of business finance or other relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or closely related field
- High proficiency in financial modeling techniques, reporting, and the ability to analyze financial statements effectively
- Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills
- Good business acumen
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA/Masters preferred
- Prior experience in FP&A or a similar role
- Manufacturing/Automotive background
- Experience developing interactive POWER BI dashboards
- Some experience with SAP & Data Warehouse
