SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER
IMPACT AND OPPORTUNITY
As our Senior Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives that drive business growth. As the main point of contact for our customers, you’ll shape product strategies, deliver new business wins, and play a critical role in expanding Gentherm’s market presence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead cross-functional efforts to deliver new business awards and growth with new and existing customers aligned with customer/product strategies.
- Represent Gentherm as the main customer interface fostering and further developing a strong relationship.
- Increase sales, profits and market share in accordance with the company’s strategic direction through diverse sources, such as IHS data, press releases, trade shows or customer announcements (new models, face lifts, model replacements).
- Manage all commercial aspects of new identified business (Business Case Development) in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Obtain customer RFQ’s for new business, provide customer price targets to internal teams and achieve program awards.
- Participate in the Quote Kick-off meeting and provide all the financial and strategic details to the team as required.
- Approve final price, price breakdowns and customer response letter.
- Drive negotiations successfully.
- Represent the "Voice of the Customer" from a financial perspective to the internal teams (price negotiations, LTA, ECR price changes, price discrepancy, inflation recovery) for the life of the project.
- Develop and maintain frequent and effective communication with assigned customer base in order to review and resolve any price discrepancies or other financial issues to ensure the development of future business opportunities.
- Participate and provide input in internal cost reduction activities.
- Maintain volume forecast and piece price for awarded and targeted programs.
- Closely Track annual new business award targets and drive the cross functional teams to successfully achieve these annual targets.

QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a business related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 Suppliers
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and Power BI Apps
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation skills

- High self-motivation
- Proven track record of driving profitable growth through new business awards
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiar with managing North American accounts
- Experience with Tesla and GM is a plus
- Experience in Thermal management products, electronics and Pneumatic & Lumbar systems is a plus
- Experience with automotive seat systems and/or interiors is a plus
- MBA degree
