Blower Development Engineer
Impact and Opportunity
Drives the planning, development, and validation of current and next-generation Blower and Fan product opportunities within the Engineering organization, aligning innovation and execution with the company’s strategic vision and growth objectives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ensure that brand new products or process related to blowers is designed within various industry standards according to applicable specification in a safe, cost efficient and timely manner while following the PCP process
- Provide technical expertise for blower assembly design and tolerance design.
- Work closely with internal and external suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met on time and within cost targets.
- Create and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R, BOM, GD&T and drawings.
- Initiate, review and release drawings, specs and parts.
- Ensure that design related documents/changes are in the PDM system and maintained throughout the life of the product.
- Continuously improve existing product design to increase customer satisfaction (CI and VAVE initiatives).
- Ensure functional and safe prototypes.
- Identify unachievable project timelines from design phase through production and service
- Attend, support and participate in engineering development meetings, program launches with the customer and team.
- Act as a technical liaison between customer, and Gentherm internal
- Reviews manufacturing and industrial engineering related documentation for new and existing products
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical degree/experience
- 2 to 6 years of position related experience

- 3D Design in SolidWorks or Equivalent, Stampings, Injection Molding, Aerodynamics Design, Air Flow Measurements and Analysis, NVH Measurements and Analysis, OEM Test Requirements, Product Data Management, APQP Documentation, Motor Design, Fan/Blower Design, FEA/CF
