VA/VE Manager, NA




A functional leader within the organization to lead and manage regional Value Analysis and Value Engineering tactical and strategic operations which are critical elements to sustainable and profitable business and the continuous improvement of the organization.



  • Develop, lead, manage, and execute NA Regional continuous improvement initiatives including value analysis, value engineering, and cost reduction initiatives to deliver cost reduction and margin improvement. Includes target setting, idea generation, project leadership of initiatives, analysis, and reporting and escalation / management of off-track initiatives.
  • Engage cross-functional team members and foster a culture of value analysis, value engineering, design to cost, and continuous improvement using industry standard tools and methods including benchmarking, lean methodology, six sigma, VA/VE, TPS, VSM and other relevant continuous improvement tools.
  • Work closely with all cross-functional departments and coordinate resources to develop problem resolution and to generate proposals to address highest cost designs, materials, and processes.
  • Lead the investigation, analysis, and execution of opportunities in process inefficiency, cost reduction, and waste reduction across design, development, supply chain, and manufacturing functions.
  • Drive standardization efforts including documenting processes, creating value stream maps for various workflows, and implementing control plans.
  • Drive idea sharing and read-across mindset across manufacturing plants, regions, customer business units, and product lines. Foster collaborative cross-functional, cross-regional, and cross-product line thinking and mentality, and best-in-class efficiency.





  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business, or Project Management.
  • 10+ years of experience in an engineering or business environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret finance and accounting documents, engineering drawings and specifications, and other business and technical documents
  • Ability to create reports, general business correspondence, and process documents
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, peer groups, managers, customers, and senior leaders
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, finance and accounting, fractions, percentages, and ratios in practical situations.
  • Must be proficient with all MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and able to create, edit, update, and present from these applications.
  • Must be proficient in MS Project for creation and editing of project and program timelines.




  • Lean Master or Lean Professional and Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Bilingual speaking English and Spanish
