Technical Assistant

 

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

 

The Technical Assistant provide hands-on support to the Senior Vice President & Chief Technical Officer. Serving as the liaison between the advanced engineering and electronics, and supporting functions (HR, IT, Finance and Purchasing). This individual will assist the Senior Executive team in the development and execution of projects across all the functional teams to support all objectives and initiatives. Day to day, he or she may draft reports, create or coordinate presentations and templates, track team efforts and logistics, build relationships, and track, and measure results against defined metrics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Support the SVP’s day to day objectives, metric reporting, preparing leadership communications on the executive’s behalf, and manage flow of information to other senior executives and staff.
  • Organize team and project meetings, including scheduling and development of materials (e.g. agenda, presentation development, etc.)
  • Collate, track, and communicate campaign and project deliverables, objectives, and timelines for the organization by working closely with the Advanced Engineering and Electronics teams.
  • Support the maintenance and development of internal tools, including a credentials database, global contact directory, objectives tracking and content within teams’ intranet sites.
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program successes.
  • Support the planning of customer events including meetings, workshops, research, and seminars both internal and external.
  • Supervise special projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track.
  • Track and communicate across the global regions to share best practices, and local marketing ideas and tactics with the teams around the globe.
  • Support and facilitate on-going communication between internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and capable of building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Documentation management and ability to use project management tools
  • Attention to details even under pressure
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once to meet key deadlines
  • Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and enjoys a challenge
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, internal dynamics, a fast pace and tight timelines with a positive attitude and drive to results

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Experience working with senior management and executives will be a plus
  • Thermal Management experience
