Senior Program Manager

ClimateSense™ is an integrated automotive microclimate system that embodies the truth of what Gentherm can deliver - thermal solutions that break boundaries between what is and what’s possible. It uses localized convective and conductive heating and cooling solutions, plus radiative heating to create personalized comfort while reducing vehicle thermal energy consumption by up to 85%*.

 

As our Lead Climate Sense Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to make an impact in the following areas:

 

  • Shape the Vehicle Cabin of the Future.
  • Bring Gentherm’s first ClimateSense™. program into the market.
  • Define and implement System Program Management at Gentherm.
  • Prepare for scale of future system wins globally.
  • Drive collaboration and agile mindset and methods.
  • Have high visibility, to executive leadership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Single point of contact for key customer adopting ClimateSense™.
  • Develop and execute a robust project, resource and risk management plan.
  • Lead a highly talented cross functional team of system, software, hardware and mechanical engineers, as well as technical project leaders.
  • Drive problem solving and make challenging and balanced decisions to meet the customer commitments.
  • Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and cross functional Gentherm leaders.
  • Develop continuous improvement and continuous learning muscle memory.
  • Provide progress and risk transparency for Gentherm’s executive leaders.
  • Lead Gentherm’s efforts to establish excellence in program management for connected systems.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in close alignment with customer business unit leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related discipline OR over 15 years of automotive Program Management experience
  • 5 years of experience in technical leadership roles; technical program management, system development and product management
  • Experience in managing system projects in an automotive environment
  • Strong technical background
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience in defining and continuously improving execution excellence

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of ASPICE and ISO 26262 functional safety
  • Passionate about delivering great customer experiences and the way consumers experience their vehicles
  • Led agile teams

TRAVEL: The employee may be required to travel to various domestic and international locations for the purpose of conducting business on behalf of the company.
