Program Manager, Financial Systems

 

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

 

The Program Manager, Financial Systems will serve as the IT project Lead and drive strategic initiatives in the area of corporate finance and accounting.  This role will be responsible for understanding the needs of the business functions, leading the development and maintenance of the solutions to meet those needs as well as manage implementation and changes.  Additionally, this leader will contribute to the overall development of IT’s PMO.  The ideal candidate has a mix of project management skills and business analyst experience, with an emphasis in financial systems.  This role will report solid line to the Manager, PMO & Office of IT and dotted line to the Manager, Finance and Supply Chain systems.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Work with key stakeholders in the Finance and Accounting groups to define needs & priorities for digitalization and transformative initiatives.  The initial scope of projects  in the Finance Digitization program for 2021, will include but not be limited to:
    • Accounts Payable Digitization
    • Segregation of Duties and SOX control automation
    • Evaluation of SAP Cloud Finance capabilities
    • Financial projects involving the consolidation system for the company (Lucanet) and the company’s data warehouse
    • Implementation of Travel and Expense systems for the company
  • Drive project initiation, planning, control and communication.
  • Lead local and global project teams in the delivery of solution implementation and change.
  • Coordinate with and manage external consultant participation in projects and ongoing operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of project lead/management experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with SAP ERP, or equivalent experience such as Oracle ERP.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience of SAP New GL
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven project leadership experience
  • Advanced MS Office skills

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMP Certified
  • SAP S/4 HANA experience
  • Experience with implementation of AP tools including invoice processing (OCR), etc.
  • Experience configuring SAP ERP 2005 (Finance and Controlling)
  • ABAP development tools experience
  • mySAP FIN module experience
  • MS Project
  • MS Visio
  • SAP archiving experience
  • SAP access rights
  • SAP IDM and SAP GRC knowledge
