Manager, IT Enterprise Architecture and Analytics

 

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Executive Director, IT, this functional IT leader will serve as the IT Enterprise Architect for Gentherm and will drive the strategic IT application and technology footprint.  Additionally, tasked to harness the power of the company’s data, the leader will own the Analytics roadmap/strategy for the company.  As a member of the IT leadership team, this person will also be aligned as an IT business partner to one or more of the Executive Committee’s Functions to act as the primary IT leadership point of contact.

       

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The IT Enterprise Architect will:

  • Identify, evaluating and mapping latest technology trends to Gentherm strategy needs
  • Consult and shape the “big picture” application map, influences technology, vendor and app selection
  • Peruse the corporate strategy in the space of business processes, IT operations and system landscape.
  • Conduct enterprise analysis, design, planning, and implementation to shape the IT strategy in alignment with the corporate needs
  • Guide the organizations through business, information, process, and technology changes 
  • Drive automatization and digitalization of business processes to generate effectiveness, efficiency and agility.

 

OTHER CORE FUNCTIONS

 

Additionally, the Enterprise Architect will serve as the Data an Analytics leader for the company.  This leader will manage a team to:

    • Lead and consult Gentherm on strategies and technologies used for data analysis of business information
    • Deliver automated insights from dataset aggregation, transformation and visualization 
    • Oversee strategy for storage and maintenance of company data repositories
    • Lead team of data scientists responsible for developing data insights to drive corporate efficiency and improve financial planning
    • Help to translate the needs/strategy into both an outcome-based operational and digital information systems strategy that aligns with current and future needs
    • Orchestrate and continuously improvement generating insights from data
    • Leads, coaches, and develops direct reports.

 

As an IT Business Partner:

  • Serves as primary IT counterpart and partner to Business Unit/Function leader(s).  
  • Advocate for the both the business and IT in strategic and operational decision making.
  • Thorough on-going operating mechanisms, understand Functional Leader’s strategy, pain points and grow the IT business relationship.  Serve as IT’s first point of contact for conflict resolution. 
  • Provides technical expertise to support the function’s strategy, including recommendation of tools and processes that enable growth
  • Create transparency around IT function and spearheads expectation setting
  • Drive digital dexterity throughout the functional group.  
  • Coordinate “shadow IT” efforts within the function such that efforts align with IT standards and requirements.
  • Serve as lead for acquisition/divestiture activities aligned to function.
QUALIFICATIONS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of IT experience, where at least one role focused on IT architecture. 
  • Prior team leadership experience.
  • Prior experience in a data or analytics related role is also required. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, team player able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exposure to data warehouse design and implementation
  • Data science experience
  • Experience implementing current enterprise business intelligence tools, including Microsoft Power BI
  • Prior experience in master data management (MDM) initiatives
  • Demonstrated use of automation to deliver business outcomes
  • Agile Scrum, Lean and ITIL certifications are desired
  • Previous experience with IT Merger and Acquisition integration
  • Passion for continuous improvement
  • Experience leading global organizations
  • Automotive industry experience
