Long Description

The Human Resources Director will serve as a strategic HR Business Partner overseeing all HR functions including employee relations, engagement, recruitment, performance management, compensation, training and career development for 2500 employees at six North American facilities. The Director will provide “hands-on” support to functional and business unit leaders to implement and drive HR solutions that develop teams and align with business objectives. This role leads a team of five to eight including a corporate HR Business Partner and a recruiter and will report directly to the CHRO.



  • Oversee and lead the North American HR team in best in class delivery of a broad range of HR services, including recruiting, performance management, employee relations, compensation, employee engagement and retention.
  • Drive change as a proactive and valued business partner, driving strategic HR plans and objectives.
  • Provides expertise and guidance regarding situations involving employee relations, compliance, safety, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, and workers’ compensation in partnership with the HR Centers of Excellence (HR COEs) to reinforce a culture of safety and compliance with specific local HR-related laws and regulations.
  • Partners with the Director of Compliance to develop and implement core global policies in the North America locations.
  • Collaborates with HR leadership and the HR COEs and leaders to develop, lead, and maintain human resources-related processes and metrics that drive results and effectively address the needs and concerns of the team. 
  • Acts as a trusted partner and initiates and maintain effective communications with leadership and employees; provide coaching and guidance on matters related to performance management, offering feedback on style and behaviors to improve employee productivity and engagement.
  • Proactively analyze organizational structures to find opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supports change management strategies to guide employees through organizational change, anticipating challenges and recommending customized solutions for the team.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing HRBP team through competency assessment, coaching/mentoring, goal setting, and performance feedback.
  • Partner with business leaders on the development and implementation of key business strategies and initiatives; identify opportunities where HR can support and drive business goals and objectives
  • Provide leadership, coaching and professional development support to direct reports and serve as a role model for effective management.
