Data Science Engineer




Gentherm is revolutionizing the automotive cabin interior by developing customized, intelligent, human centered microclimate thermal comfort and wellness systems. Advanced analytical and prediction tools are at the heart of the transformation of Gentherm and the future of electrified automotive climate control. You are going to be part of a dynamic, vibrant team of engineers working to disrupt the very industry they have created by bringing energy efficient, data-driven, thermophysiology-based products to the market.



  • Apply scientific rigor to analyze test and field collected data.
  • Apply agile methodology to develop machine learning software algorithms targeting energy efficient thermal comfort and wellness systems that maximize user experience.
  • Integrate smart algorithms in local vehicle control structures and cloud platforms.
  • Write technical reports backed by statistical analysis.
  • Communicate important results to senior management.
  • Scour IP and literal sources to gather unique information and explain test results.





  • Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering with 0-2 years of experience in data science or machine learning.
  • Concrete knowledge of linear algebra and statistics.
  • Excellent command of Python and/or R.
  • Good understanding of foundational machine learning algorithms such as linear model, logistic regression, decision trees, and clustering.
  • Good command of standard data science and machine learning tools and libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, and Scikit-Learn.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills.




  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in science or engineering.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch etc.)
  • Experience in C or C++.
  • Experience in signal processing.
