Advanced Project Engineer – MSP Products




Be a part of a team that has put “first ever” technology into production with two more technologies set for production in the next two years. This position has the responsibility for designing MSP Products such as, Heated Medical Blankets, battery cell-connecting boards, flexible electronic circuits and flexible battery heaters, and components such as busbars and wire harnesses, along with electronics packaging of electro-mechanical devices.  Responsibilities also may include designing battery cooling systems that may include the use of thermoelectric devices, liquid cooling and/or forced-air cooling.



• Project lead for MSP Technologies and Products from inception to “Ready for Sale”

• Prepare and present technical presentations and project update

• Manage development of 3D CAD model and 2D drawings and BOMs

• Manage development of Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis and Creepage & Clearance analysis

• Manage development of trace layouts for flexible circuits, along with cover foil and lamination geometry

• Participate in design review meetings and meeting preparation

• Ensure PDM integration of CAD data and documentation

• Organize and participate in DFM reviews

• Support process engineering in development of welding, gluing, soldering, heat staking, assembly development and trials.

• Support DFMEA and PFMEA creation and development




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or related field
  • 3 or more years of experience in Automotive Engineering
  • 3 or more years’ experience in managing projects
  • Proficient CAD skills in Catia V5 and/or SolidWorks
  • Experience in electro-mechanical product design and packaging for high volume automotive markets.
  • Manufacturing knowledge of PCBs, Flex Circuits, Soldering, metal stampings, injection molded parts, die-cast parts.
  • Knowledge of Altium or other circuit board design software CAD tools.



  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in Automotive Engineering
  • Experience in Solidworks Thermal Analysis, FEA & CFD
  • Experience in automotive connector systems and wire harness design.
  • Experience in design of Electronic modules, busbars, battery modules or systems, and battery packs.



TRAVEL: Up to 10% travel to various domestic and international locations for the purpose of conducting business on behalf of the company.
