ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Implement prototype electrical systems related to advanced climate seats
  • Set up hardware, develop software and instrument vehicle environments in preparation for experiments.
  • Conduct complex experiments, sometimes involving occupants, precisely and comprehensively. 
  • Instruct all test occupants of all necessary information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Monitor ongoing experiments and identify any potential issues.  Use discretion on whether to fix problems internally or elevate issue to manager.
  • Maintain detailed log of work, document all experimental setup, processes and data clearly and precisely.
  • Create and share clear presentations to other team members.
  • Research and evaluate new technology including sensors, electronics, and controls related to thermal comfort goals and requirements.
  • Provide electronics and control support to advanced development team members
  • Design and/or modify component and system control software to meet system requirements and ensure safety
  • Monitor and adjust prototype electronics inventory as needed.
  • Support the design and development of new test process as needed
  • Ensure that brand new tests and evaluations, related to advanced climate seats, are designed according to applicable specification in a safe, cost efficient and timely manner.
  • Research new technology, design, manufacturing, and industrial engineering related documentation for new and existing products



    Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
