Account Manager

 

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

 

This position is dedicated to building and maintaining strong client relationships with non-automotive customers, Tier 1 automotive customers, and technology partners to bring game changing products to market. Driving on a foundation of open and effective communication, Gentherm is positioned to deliver exceptional products in line with client goals, objectives, and expectations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, increase sales, profits and market share (as per Department KPI) in accordance with the company’s strategic direction relating to core product competence of electronics through diverse media, such as specific industry data, press release, trade shows or customer announcements (new models, face lifting, model replacements)
  • Manage all sale aspects of the new identified business (Business Case Development) in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Obtain customer RFQ’s for the new business
  • Provide customer price targets to internal teams
  • Participate in the Quote Kick -off meeting and provide all the financial details to the team as required
  • Approve the final price, price breakdowns and the customer response letter.
  • Achieve successful program awards

OTHER CORE FUNCTIONS

 

  • Represent the "Voice of the Customer" from a financial perspective to the internal teams (price negotiations, LTA, ECR price changes, price discrepancy) for the life of the project
  • Develop and maintain frequent and effective communication with the customer base in order to review/resolve any price discrepancies/other financial issues as well as to ensure the development of future business opportunities
  • Participate and provide input in the internal cost reduction activities
  • Input and update the volume forecast and piece price for awarded and targeted programs into the Gentherm budgeting / forecasting tool
  • Represent Gentherm as the main customer interface fostering and further developing a strong relationship  

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Strong Organizational, Presentation, and Communication Skills

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with non-Automotive customers (recreational, commercial, industrial, and/or medical)
  • Experience with OEMs and Tier 1 Suppliers
  • Experience in multi-level team and/or matrix organization
