ACCOUNT MANAGER - ELECTRONICS

 

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY 

As Gentherm’s Electronics Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and strengthening client relationships within Gentherm’s Electronic Business Unit. This role will be the driving force to grow our electronics business which sells Gentherm technology in North America to both automotive and non-automotive companies. The Account Manager will lead and deliver new customer relationships and drive exponential revenue growth to achieve our aggressive targets.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, increase sales, profits and market share (as per Department KPI) in accordance with the company’s strategic direction relating to core product portfolio.
  • Plan and execute sales and marketing plans to aggressively develop new customer contacts/prospects. 
  • Obtain customer RFQ’s for the new business
  • Lead the internal quotation process, and external quote to the customer.
  • Provide customer price targets to internal teams.
  • Call on Customer representatives in commercial and industrial industries and develop strong working relationship within the organizations.  
  • Prepare technical presentations regarding mechanical, electromechanical, electrical, and electronic devices or services with an emphasis on increased sales.
  • Represent the Voice of the customer to internal management teams on evaluating new applications for product development.  
  • Collect and maintain data on competitor’s activities.
  • Review blueprints, timing plans, project status reports, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates or projected increases in production requirements from client’s use of proposed products or services.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities and provide input to strategic direction.
  • Develop annual sales forecast for customer base and maintain on a quarterly basis.
  • Establishes and maintains product cost structures and pricing schedules.
  • Identifies and initiates cost reduction programs on existing products.
  • Provide Project Summary Reports, sequenced with the Sales & Marketing Corporate Overview report, for ongoing projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a closely-related field.
  • 5 years of position related experience
  • 3 years’ experience in an automotive or electronics industry

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 8+ Years of position related experience
  • German and/or Spanish a plus.
