SENIOR QUALITY MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent Executive Management to ensure that the quality system is in accordance with the requirements of the ISO/IATF 16949 standards.
- Maintain documented procedures for planning and implementing quality internal audits.
- Carry out Planning, Coordination, Communication activities and link between different Operative and
- Administrative Managements, to ensure continuous improvement through the Implementation and
- Maintenance of the Quality System according to IATF16949
- Implement and update Quality System according to international standards, looking to improve the quality of
- the process, of the products and the quality assurance system.
- Obtain certificate of recognition from national and international organisms. Certification as reliable supplier of
- electronic and automotive products, fortifying the competitive position of the products in national and
- international markets.
- Verify quality system effectiveness to ensure the products and process quality.
- Design, coordinate, review and document internal quality audits program to evaluate the quality system.
- Coordinate and communicate to all Operative and Administrative Managements preparation activities and Quality System documentation development.
- Group formation of Quality Internal Auditors.
- Analyze and Coordinate all areas of the plant during preparation phase and development of external certification audits and of the customer.
- Document corrective and preventive actions taken. Resulting from audits or customer’ claims.
- Maintain internal communication with Quality personnel to ensure the conformity of the products with respect to customer’s specifications.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Make technical decisions to ensure the compliance of the customer’s requirements.
- Overlook and maintain process control by means of the products’ specifications control.
- Maintain control quality records to demonstrate that the product complies with the customer’s requirements.
- Development, Maintain and Implementation of the highest quality standards in the manufacturing of our products to comply with our customers’ requirements.
- Development, Maintain and Implement procedures of the Quality System IATF 16949.
- Coordinate/ Obtain and submit to the customer, the documentation and necessary activities for the PPAP’s
- approval.
- Participate in the fulfillment of the Environmental Administration System ISO 14001/ ISO 45001, based on review meetings of top management of improvements to this system and inform and follow up with its personal in charge to comply with this standard.
- Responsible for understanding and compliance of the specific requirements established by customers with the Zero Defects in sight.
- Attend courses and trainings required by the environmental management system ISO 14001 and practice what was learned in these.
- Development, implementation and management of Quality Management System and processes for Gentherm North America in accordance with the requirements of the IATF16949 standards.
- Assures resources and quality operating systems are maintained and improved to support the external customer.
- Environmental Representative (Windsor) and Member of the Environmental Management Team.
- Management, coordination and participation in internal and external quality audits.
- Fulfill all the requirements specified by your Customer, by implementing controls to prevent Defects
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
- 5-8 years experience in a Quality Management role.
- Wide experience in the Automotive Sector.
- Wide knowledge and experience in quality systems implementation within international standards, etc.
- Knowledge of the Automotive Industry requirements.
- Knowledge of advance statistic methods.
- Knowledge of Experiments Designs.
- Knowledge of Problem Solve Techniques.
- Experience and knowledge of the specific requirements of Automotive Industry Sector.
- Experience in Process Statistic Control (SPC).
COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge:
- Bilingual (English/ Spanish).
- Literacy in computer packages.
- Related procedures on the Internal IATF 16949, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Procedures
Skills:
- Line, machines/ equipment stops in case of situations that affect the product’s quality.
- Accept/ reject material, products, and machines, procedures according to customers’ specifications or established standards.
- Authority to represent the Executive Management in quality system’ activities.
- Authority to implement corrective and preventive actions and consistent procedures with quality
EDUCATION:
• University Degree preferably engineering with 4 years minimum experience in the position.
