Test Lab Manager for Farmington Hills, Michigan automotive supplier to oversee test lab operations; ensure capability & capacity for testing; establish, monitor & control capital requirements and budgets; develop standardized test methods, processes, procedures & work instructions; manage fabrication of testing & test control apparatus and equipment; maintain ISO17025 certification; hire, train, develop, discipline & manage team; provide input to design engineering activities & new product development; drive continuous improvements & corrective actions. Requires Bachelor’s in an Engineering or Engineering Technology field.  Will accept a single degree or any combination of degrees, diplomas, professional credentials or professional experience determined to be equivalent by a qualified evaluation service.  Position also requires 1 yr experience in automotive testing management or closely-related position(s) overseeing validation testing for automotive thermal comfort products and the analysis and reporting of validation test results; managing the planning, scheduling, and execution of validation testing; interfacing directly with automotive OEM & supplier customers, including Ford, FCA, General Motors, Adient, and/or JCI, to develop test specifications, test procedures and work instructions; ensuring that validation testing complies with ISO17025 & IATF 16949 standards; managing & forecasting testing capacity and capabilities; managing team(s) of subordinate employees; providing input for customer design changes & new product development; and overseeing continuous process improvements for validation testing to improve accuracy and reduce uncertainty.
