Test Lab Engineer for Farmington Hills, Michigan automotive supplier to support product testing activities; prepare technical reports with test data & results; operate, calibrate & maintain test equipment; communicate test timelines; develop test procedures & equipment to support new product development; support continuous improvement projects. Requires Bachelor’s in an Engineering or Engineering Technology field.  Will accept a single degree or any combination of degrees, diplomas, professional credentials or professional experience determined to be equivalent by a qualified evaluation service. Position also requires 2 yrs experience in automotive testing-related position(s) following ISO 17025 and IATF 16949 testing guidelines; adhering to automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) test specifications; conducting validation testing for automotive thermal comfort products, including environmental, flammability, durability, acoustics, components, and full system performance testing; reviewing test specifications; creating test schedules; analyzing test data; compiling test reports; implementing test technology; conducting root cause analysis of failures & warranty returns; operating & maintaining test equipment, including climate chambers, flammability chambers, data acquisition stations, power supplies, function generators, and durability testers; and mentoring junior team members.
