Senior Test Lab Technician




Technician will be responsible for next-generation prototype component and system level assembly and testing using a variety of thermal hardware and electronics for advanced engineering. Ability to read wiring diagrams and solder.




  • Builds prototype thermal assemblies for vehicle integration.
  • Responsible for integrating electronics and hardware into the vehicle.
  • Responsible for running submitted test requests based on internal and customer requirements according to acceptable test lab processes.
  • Operating lab equipment and instrumentation safely following established procedures.
  • Monitoring and maintaining parts inventory records and ordering materials and supplies as required in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Processing test data in excel and formatting results for presentation to engineers when required.
  • Establish timelines, understand test equipment needs and capabilities to manage deliverables, communicate requirements to management as required.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and organized work environment.






  • Associates degree in Engineering Technology or related field with 5 or more years of experience in prototype development and testing in an automotive environment or related discipline.
  • Or 10 or more years of combined position related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to handle instrumentation, testing, and report generation from component through vehicle integration.
  • Familiarity with printed parts, sensors data collection (temperature, pressure, and vibration, etc.) used for analysis and system control.
  • Competent PC skills and proficiencies with MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Effective listener, self-disciplined, dependable, creative and thorough and can work in an innovative environment.
  • Ability to work as a member of a strong team but also comfortable working independently is critical.





  • Proven skills in fabrication and assembly of metal, and plastics
  • Cross-functional communication experience
  • Vehicle Thermal Management experience (Climate System)
