IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

Gentherm Medical is looking for a results driven Territory Sales Manager (TSM) for Northern California with responsibility and authority to sell the full Gentherm product portfolio (class II medical devices and disposable blankets) to hospitals and other approved customers within the geographical limits of the territory to attain established quotas and sales objectives. This is an exceptional opportunity to work for a high growth patient temperature management company. This position reports to the Regional Manager, West and candidates can live anywhere in the territory. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the market expert for your area and develop strong market, product and competitive knowledge. 
  • Conduct face-to-face sales calls with physicians, nurses and other key purchase influencers in the sales territory to demonstrate, in-service and sell Gentherm capital equipment and disposable products. 
  • Responsible for the successful creation and execution of strategic sales plan for applicable territory. Achieve or exceed assigned sales revenue targets. 
  • Plan, strategize and successfully execute sales calls to all relevant hospital departments, outpatient surgery centers and other call points in the territory. 
  • Work or attend meetings and courses inside and outside the territory. 
  • Provide support and service to clinical personnel as it relates to the Products in a surgical environment. 
  • Report competitive activity within the territory to the Region Manager and maintain all records and reports as requested in a timely fashion. 
  • Must be able to clear all current Vendor Representative Credentialing required by accounts within your territory. 
  • Ability to use sales CRM (Sugar) proficiently for accurate Sales forecasting and planning.  
  • Attend and participate in local, Regional and National Trade shows as needed. 
  • Utilize prudent expense control and cost effectiveness per company policies. 
  • Provide accurate forecasts and sales pipelines as requested. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher 
  • Minimum 5-7 years in medical device sales into Acute Care Hospitals and/or Ambulatory Surgery Centers 
  • Capital Equipment experience in hospital call point 
  • Proven track record of sales achievement 
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) 
  • Attend all company required training programs and events 
  • Maintain professionalism in all aspects of the position 
  • Passion for selling and servicing customers 
  • Excellent organization and communication skills 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred experience selling capital equipment with trailing consumable revenue 
  • Preferred experience in ICU/ER & OR 
  • Thermal Management experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to lift 150lbs, transport and maneuver demo and trial equipment in and out of customer facilities and your vehicle.  Ability to work occasional weekends (when warranted for local, regional or national meetings/tradeshows) and late hours depending on the requirements of Gentherm customers with regards to in-servicing.
