Global Sales Analyst
The Global Sales Analyst will partner with global Sales Leadership to provide strategic analytical support across regions, customers, and product lines. They will have a continuous improvement mindset to facilitate streamlining reporting and analytical processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Reporting and Analysis
- Develop and maintain sales performance dashboards and commercial reports.
- Analyze sales data by customer, product line, geography, and market segment to identify trends, growth opportunities, operational improvements, and commercial trends.
- Create reports to help commercial teams understand financial implications when making business decisions.
Financial Planning
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual sales comparisons, including variance analysis and executive-level reporting.
- Support the development of short-term and long-term sales forecasts, annual budgets, and financial planning initiatives.
- Provide actionable recommendations to leadership based on data analysis, market trends, and sales performance metrics.
Pricing Governance
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of Special Pricing Committee to review, evaluate, and approve discounts.
- Conduct pricing analysis to evaluate profitability, pricing trends, margin performance, and competitive positioning.
- Manage pricing governance processes to monitor compliance and profitability.
Data Integrity and Compliance
- Own the administration and execution of sales commission calculations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including validation of sales data, incentive calculations, and commission-related reporting.
- Partner with Sales Leadership, Finance, and HR to ensure accurate interpretation, application, and compliance with sales commission structures and incentive programs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on forecasting assumptions and business objectives.
- Partner with Sales to provide analytics and support for strategic customer initiatives and special projects.
- Serve as a point of contact for distributor sales tracings, analytics requests, and related reporting support.
- Support administrative fee reporting and analytics related to Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) sales programs.
- Assist in auditing sales transactions, pricing approvals, and commission-related data to ensure policy compliance and data integrity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales analytics, business analysis, pricing analysis, or commercial finance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience creating dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (eg: Power BI).
- Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and sales performance analysis.
- Strong presentation and communication skills at leadership level.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related discipline.
- Experience in global or multi-regional sales organizations.
- Experience leading cross-functional committees or business review processes.
- Strong data visualization and storytelling capabilities.
- Understanding of manufacturing or distribution sales environments.
- Ability to influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations.
