Document Control Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with aspects of Document Control and Training functions consistent with applicable SOPs and DWIs.
  • Responsible for the timely data entry and filing of any completed records received (operational, engineering, quality, etc) and the daily retrieval of records from various inboxes throughout the facility.
  • Perform Quality reviews on controlled documents and records submitted to the Document Control room to ensure record accuracy, completeness and compliance to all documented SOP and DWI requirements, including Good Documentation Practices and record retention controls.
  • Actively assists in implementing quality process improvements, cost effective improvements and movement of documents to electronic archiving.
  • May perform other quality-related functions as needed (i.e. product inspections and final release).

Required Skills

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication, including spelling, grammar, and editing skills
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills/Customer Service Experience preferred
  • Strong Computer Software Skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Visual)
  • Experience with GDP a plus
