BUSINESS PROCESS ENGINEER LEAD
IMPACT & OPPORTUNITY
The Business Process Engineer manages and exercises discretion over the daily operations of the organization's essential and continuous improvement functions in Mexico. This position is responsible for overseeing Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering. The role plays a key part in driving operational excellence by improving cost, quality, and productivity through the development and optimization of manufacturing processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering

Lead the creation and review of standards, capacity analysis, and productivity improvements across the plant.

Oversee the implementation and sustainment of LEAN manufacturing tools and methodologies.

Develop and manage overall plant capacity planning and expansion strategies with Production leadership.

Coordinate the development and updates of production layouts and process designs.

Drive standardization across production lines and optimize workflows for efficiency.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, quality, and throughput.

Design plant layout and equipment distribution to support efficient operations.

Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements.
Process Engineering

Continuously analyze manufacturing processes to identify and address improvement opportunities.

Lead the design and implementation of new processes and manufacturing equipment.

Manage capital investment projects, including labor, tooling, and equipment requirements.

Ensure on-time execution of PPAPs, test runs, and engineering changes according to the PCP timeline.

Serve as a liaison between departments for cross-functional improvement initiatives and compliance with IATF 16949.

Supervise teams across Manufacturing, Industrial, Product, and Plant Engineering functions.

Communicate effectively with the General Manager regarding departmental challenges and updates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

At least 7 years of experience in Industrial, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering roles.

Previous leadership experience in the automotive industry.

Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Demonstrated experience in plant start-ups, process transfers, and New Product Introductions (NPI).

Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.

Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making.
