SENIOR SIMULATION ENGINEER

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Perform thermal systems analysis of new products under development in Gentherm Advanced Engineering group and supporting existing programs
  • Model flow, heat transfer and multiphysics for various pre-development and production components and porous media using ANSYS
  • Support the development of Gentherm automotive, medical and consumer products
  • Research and develop new simulation methods based on data from test lab
  • Testing thermal systems, contributing to test procedures and analyzing test data

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or similar, if you have a PhD degree in such a field, we consider it as a strong plus
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) projects
  • Knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, aerodynamics and thermodynamics both in theory and application
  • Proven experience in CAD tools such as Solidworks, Siemens NX, CATIA, ANSYS Design Modeler, Spaceclaim or ANSA

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • If you have a PhD degree in such a field, we consider it as a strong plus 
  • Experience with thermal comfort, automotive HVAC and seat components analysis and simulation is considered as a plus
  • Experience with TAITherm, FEA Structural Simulation or with any other simulation tool is a plus
