LEAD CATEGORY BUYER

What You'll Do:

• You will develop and execute global category strategies for connectors/terminals/PCB headers and assigned electromechanical categories in partnership with the Global Category Director,
• You will lead contract negotiations and developments with wire suppliers to ensure consistent commercial terms and conditions,
• You will lead regular global/benchmarking activities for connectors/terminals/pcb headers to determine best in class pricing,
• You will negotiate pricing based on regional indices, market factors, and global benchmark data,
• You will qualify new suppliers in collaboration with category strategy / technical roadmap,
• You will conduct purchasing of materials independently and select supplier and second sources for the components out of an approved supplier list,
• You will work in a sparkling international environment with colleagues, customers and suppliers across Europe, North America and Asia.

What You'll Bring:

• You have a degree in Supply Chain Management Or Business, at least on a BSc level,
• You have at least 5 years of experience as a strategic buyer, or commodity manager at Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier in automotive industry,
• You have at least 3 years wire commodity experience,
• You have a record of achieving purchasing cost savings through negotiation, resourcing, & VAVE,
• You experience in working in a project team,
• You are familiar with single source situations with experience in such an environment,
• You are well organized, disciplined, and persistent, like to move things forward,
• You are a strong team player with intercultural competence,
• Your English language skills are strong both verbal and written.
