AP MANAGER

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, mentor, and manage the accounts payable team for Hungary (and other locations in EMEA).
• Ensure that invoices are properly coded, approved, and posted to the general ledger.
• Collaborate with the treasury team to oversee payment runs and forecast cash payments.
• Manage month-end closing processes, ensuring all payables and accruals are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related inquiries
• Resolve any issues or disputes regarding invoices, payments, and contract terms.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures regarding accounts payable processes, including SOX internal control requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in finance, accounting or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years of accounts payable or accounting experience
• Minimum of 2 years in a management or supervisory role
• Experience in a multinational company with cross-border transactions
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Process oriented with significant attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with English language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with SAP is preferred
• Experience with U.S. GAAP or IFRS is preferred
