HR SPECIALIST, TRAINING
IMPACT & OPPORTUNITY
Responsible for supervising, coordinating, and evaluating the daily activities of trainers, onboarding programs, and production personnel training. This role ensures that employees are effectively trained, certified, and developed according to company standards and requirements. It supports operational excellence by aligning training practices with company goals, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise the daily activities of trainers and provide necessary tools for effective execution of their responsibilities.

Monitor progress of new hires using TWI methodology, focusing on efficiency, rework, and lost time.

Coordinate with Quality to report and manage weekly certification needs.

Communicate with VSLs regarding the deployment and certification scope of new employees.
-
Maintain and update operator training matrices and recertification plans on a weekly basis.

Deliver required training reports and evaluations for Production and Quality departments.

Address training needs due to area transfers, shift changes, or plant modifications.

Weekly payroll validation for team members and request pay stubs/food vouchers as needed.

Maintain daily attendance logs for new hires.

Promote a positive coaching culture across both shifts through strong communication and support.

Assist departments with training documentation (MIs), quality alerts, process improvements, and new product/machine implementation.

Lead and support Lean and Six Sigma training-related improvement initiatives.

Organize induction courses, coordinating with participating departments and preparing necessary resources.

Design and develop training materials to enhance employee technical and administrative competencies.

Track and evaluate course participants’ performance.

Contribute to resolving labor issues within the training scope.

Ensure alignment with company goals and actively participate in company-organized events.

Keep Tress system updated and generate monthly reports based on training activities.

Ensure compliance with STPS legal training requirements.
-
Promote partnerships with local educational institutions for extracurricular and community engagement.

Create Onventis requisitions for external training services and materials.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related field.

2–3 years of experience in a similar training role.

Strong facilitation and public speaking skills (Train-the-Trainer certified preferred).

Effective interpersonal communication and customer service mindset.
-
Creativity, sociability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Intermediate to basic bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
-
Team player with strong coordination and organizational abilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Basic knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Understanding of STPS legal requirements related to training compliance.
-
Experience with SIRCE platform and Tress system.
-
Familiarity with TWI methodology.

Relevant trainer-level or auditor certifications (e.g., IPC-A-610, IATF 16949, ISO 14001).
