Senior HR Manager

 

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

 

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for leading and delivering on the day-to-day HR operations and programs for our Northville and Farmington Hills sites. This role has direct interaction at all levels of the organization – both with people leaders and individual contributors and provides you with the significant opportunity to drive high-impact work and outcomes at Gentherm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead and execute key HR initiatives and core HR processes, including but not limited to Performance Management Process (PMP), annual pay planning, headcount and budget planning, learning and development programs, and the employee lifecycle experience
  • Coach and advise leaders on employee relations issues.
  • Utilizes data to make recommendations and support action plans for continuous improvement on talent, engagement & retention.
  • Work with leaders and employees to identify, establish, and maintain a positive work environment and authentic culture which encourages diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Support on-site engagement events and activities for team members.
  • Work directly with candidates, employees and leaders, with the support of outside immigration counsel in preparing appropriate U.S immigration cases and documentation.
  • Manage key performance indicators, reporting (headcount, turnover, etc).
  • Provide guidance on company policies and HR programs.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Payroll, and Facilities on site related project. 
  • Follow all state and federal employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO and FLSA)

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or closely related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR generalist experience  
  • Immigration experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project and process management skills with a demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic business environment
  • Knowledge and experience with contemporary HR structure and practices, including HR business partnering and centers of expertise (e.g., talent acquisition, talent management and development, compensation, benefits, compliance)
  • Demonstrated initiative in a fast-moving environment; proactive problem solver, bias for action, roll-up-ones-sleeves attitude, a strong work ethic and steadfast integrity
  • Proven ability to influence decision making at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to develop business solutions based upon facts/data analytics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to think and work independently, take initiative, and make the right tradeoff decisions as it relates to projects or HR processes
